Valentines Day is almost here and this is something you can whip up now and it will be ready for the big day. Or if you are like me and have 0 love interest in your life then I urge you to conjur the strength to make this and devour it all by yourself. No shame here- this is redemption.

I love the idea of ice cream with a labneh base. It’s kinda funky (in a good way), it has a nice depth of flavor and the cardamom really rounds it out with the right flavor profile. Once frozen it has a smooth and creamy texture plus there are no eggs in this recipe so that’s a big win with the way egg prices are right now.

I ate mine with date syrup, and toasted sesame seeds as a garnish. It was a life altering experience. (See my IG post below)

I would like you to keep in mind that the temperature we keep our home freezers at is too cold for ice cream without a bunch of stabilizers and preservatives. So it’s important to leave the ice cream out for a few minutes to soften up before scooping.

Things I would garnish this Ice Cream with

  • Sesame Brittle

  • Pistachio Brittle

  • Crushed Pistachio

  • Chocolate Magic Shell

  • Olive Oil

  • Crushed Tahini Cookie

  • Fresh Dates
