My recipe for a Panino/Roman-ish Style Dough. This is easily one of my favorite ways to make a sandwich. The dough takes some planning out (2-3 days) but is so worth the wait. I use this recipe for most of the pizzas and Paninos I featured on my Instagram. This Sandwich video got just about 2 million views on IG and 60k on TikTok.
When I was in Italy I ate these at gas stations, sandwich shops and the best one I had was in the airport in Rome. Where I live in Phoenix you can line up at Pane Bianco which is Chris Bianco’s Bakery and they serve this style of sandwich everyday. I eat there quite often. He also has a Pane Bianco in LA- I think this bakery is highly underrated.
This dough is low hydration which means it will get crispy but still remain soft on the inside.
